The Class of 2026 had one final walk through the halls at each one of our Scituate school buildings yesterday. This was an incredibly meaningful moment for our school community. Students were able to reconnect with their elementary and middle school teachers and staff, and our elementary and middle school students had the chance to celebrate with them. We are beyond excited to see what's in store for our graduating class. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

The Class of 2026 enjoyed their Senior Breakfast yesterday morning at Foster Country Club! Students spent the morning signing and looking through their yearbook while relaxing together one last time before graduation.

Our Clayville students enjoyed participating in our Memorial Day Celebration this week! Students thanked our local veterans for their service and watched as they respectfully changed out our American flag outside of our building. Thank you to all who have served!!

Thank you to our amazing panelists who participated in our CTE Child Education Academy Career Panel today! Students were able to hear from professionals in the industry about their educational backgrounds and career journeys.

A special thank you to Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green and Rhode Island Department of Education - RIDE Student Opportunity Officer Steve Osborn for taking the time to visit SHS and have these meaningful discussions with our students.

On Thursday night, students took part in Goodnight Lights in Providence! Our Spartans stood across from Hasbro Children's Hospital and put on a light show with their flashlights for the children inside.

We are so proud of our Spartans for their performance at our Pops Concert on Wednesday night! Thank you to the families and community members who came out to support our students.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our amazing teachers at the Scituate School Department! We are incredibly grateful for your patience, compassion, and all of the work you do to support our students. You have helped shape so many of our students' lives. We thank you for everything that you do.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate our student athletes as they made their decisions to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. We are incredibly proud of our Spartans and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them! Thank you to the Scituate Athletic Booster Club for their help in organizing this event!

Scituate’s Prevention Coordinator, Mr. Jack Klimaj, set up an interactive table during lunches to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. Students took the pledge to be drug-free and tested their knowledge by answering prevention questions for a chance to spin the prize wheel. It was a fun and meaningful way to promote healthy choices and awareness!

The Scituate Boys Soccer team’s incredible season came to a heartbreaking end in the quarterfinals with a 3–2 loss to Tiverton High School. It was a tough battle, and the boys left everything on the field. Hold your heads high, Spartans — you’ve made our school and community proud!

The SHS Cross Country team ended their regular season by competing in their Class Meet at Ponaganset High School on Saturday, October 25th. Every athlete gave it their all, showing determination and teamwork throughout the challenging course.

The Spartan Football team will play in the quarter final game at Smithfield High School on Friday, November 7th at 6:00 PM. Come out and show your support!

Last week, we celebrated our incredible seniors. Their leadership, teamwork, and love for the game have shaped this program and inspired their teammates. From powerful serves to unforgettable rallies, they’ve left a lasting mark on the court and in our hearts.
Congratulations, Seniors, and thank you for everything you’ve brought to Spartan Volleyball. We wish them nothing but the best as they move on to their next chapters. Once a Spartan, always a Spartan!

On Monday, October 20th, our Spartans Cross Country team showed up strong at Freshman States at Deerfield Park! All three of our freshmen set personal records as they competed against athletes from across Rhode Island.

Mrs. Dailey’s & Mrs. LaSalle’s Geometry class worked in groups to use the Math Department’s new Reveal platform to prepare for an upcoming assessment. They were able to receive instant feedback on their practice as they worked.

The Scituate High School band led the annual Halloween Parade on October 24th. It was a beautiful afternoon with a great crowd and great music! The bands next performance is the Veterans Day Parade on 11/11.

On Saturday, we celebrated our amazing Spartan seniors — both cheerleaders and football players — surrounded by family, teammates, and fans.

On Friday, members of the biomedical pathway attended the HOSA - Future Health Professionals Fall Leadership Conference. They participated in a variety of workshops in the morning and listened to a panel of residents from Kent County Hospital share their journey into medicine in the afternoon.
