On August 2, 2023, representatives of the Scituate School Department and R.A.D., the contractor, and Gale Associates, the engineer, met on Caito Field all day to address certain specific safety problems on the field. On August 8, 2023, the School Committee met in executive session under the pending litigation exception to discuss the matter. On August 31, 2023, all of the parties, including the Robinson Green Beretta Corporation, the architect, will be meeting with the mediator again to attempt to come to a resolution that is satisfactory to all parties. When and if the School Committee feels that the mediation process is not moving forward, the School Committee is prepared to move from mediation to arbitration.
