Our attorneys and school committee continue to work hard to resolve the major issues preventing our children and community from using our beautiful field and track.
I understand that some of you are frustrated that these communications lack details of the ongoing negotiations, but we have continued to stress that mediation severely limits what can be said about the process and proceedings. Dates for a new mediation meeting are being considered for the second week of October. It is our hope that this can be resolved soon to avoid binding arbitration; however, we are prepared to proceed to arbitration if necessary.
Please rest assured, the school committee, attorneys and geotechnical engineers have remained steadfast to ensure our students are safe and the taxpayer’s investment is protected.
