Every year, we hold many end-of-the-year events to celebrate our Seniors. We are always amazed by the amount of support, and enthusiasm these events are met with by our students, families, staff, and community members. We have dedicated this page to sharing all of the details of these events with our entire Scituate community, and we hope you will participate in as many as you can!

May 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM: Scituate High School's Rhode Island Honor Society and National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held in the auditorium. This event recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

May 14, 2026, at 9:30-10:30 AM: The Top 10 Breakfast will be held outside of the SHS cafeteria. Our top ranked students and their families have been invited to attend as we celebrate their academic achievements.

May 21, 2026, at 3:15 PM: We welcome your presence at the Senior Project Presentation. Students will showcase their culminating work.

May 22, 2026, at 6:00-10:00 PM: Juniors and seniors will host the Prom at Kirkbrae Country Club.

May 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM: We will celebrate students during the Senior Scholarship and Awards Night in the SHS Auditorium. All students and families are welcome to attend. Students receiving a Scituate scholarship will receive a special notification before the event. This event highlights the many achievements and recognitions earned by members of the senior class. If a senior is receiving a scholarship or award outside of the Scituate Scholarship Foundation (ie, Civic Leader Award, Latino Dollars for scholars, etc), please email michael.hassell@scituateschoolsri.net so we can add that honor to our awards night! 

May 28, 2026: All items not needed for exams should be returned to teachers by the end of the day.

June 1 - 5, 2026: Graduation rehearsals will be held in the gym and the front hallway.

June 4, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM: Students will meet at SHS for graduation rehearsals, where caps and gowns will be distributed. From there, students will board buses at 8:30 AM, where they will head to Foster Country Club for their Senior Breakfast. At 11:00 AM, students will board buses and head to Clayville Elementary for our Grads in the Halls event, followed by Hope School, North Scituate Elementary School, and Scituate Middle School.

June 5, 2026, at 8:30 AM: Class Day Ceremony will be held in the gym.

June 5, 2026, at 6:30 PM: Graduation for the Class of 2026 will be held at the Tourtellot Memorial Common at North Scituate Elementary School. We kindly ask that attendees arrive by 5:30 PM. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is scheduled for June 6, 2026, at the same location.

If both days are cancelled due to weather conditions, families will be notified of the cancellation, and the ceremony will be held indoors, where tickets will be required to adhere to fire code.
