This past week, 8th graders from the Linus Club took some time to talk with 6th and 7th-grade students about the club and its purpose to encourage more students to join! The Linus Club members create blankets for children in need, and all students are welcome to join.

Sixth graders spent the last few weeks reteaching strategies for addition and subtraction with rational numbers!
Students in grade 6 began their odyssey into Africa last week! The students stepped into our Africa unit by reading from a plethora of informational books. In small groups, they compiled interesting facts about various countries to share with the rest of the class.

Shakespeare to Hip Hop is a literary concert presentation that provided an excellent introduction to the life and works of William Shakespeare for our middle school students! The presentation included multimedia and featured a live band. Students were engaged and inspired by lively original songs in various American music styles, including jazz, blues, rock, hip-hop, and country, that provided information about Shakespeare’s life and influence on our culture.
