On Thursday, February 16th, Clayville Elementary had their National Blue Ribbon Flag Ceremony where they raised their new National Blue Ribbon Flag and celebrated Clayville with a pep rally! Here's a glimpse of this exciting day! https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1...

Yesterday Clayville Elementary had their Blue Ribbon Flag Raising Ceremony! Thank you to our veterans, staff, and community members who joined us for this exciting celebration! Abbey Theroux, a Scituate High School senior and Clayville alum joined us and sang the National Anthem. This was such a special moment for us, we are so proud of Clayville for receiving this honor!

Today was National SRO Appreciation Day and we surprised our SRO at Hope Elementary School with a special balloon bouquet to thank him for all that he does at Scituate! Thank you, Mr. Parenti!!

As we end January, students in grades 3-5 have been participating in volleyball skills and activities! It's been tons of fun!

Mrs. Colvin and her third graders at Clayville have been busy reading traditional tales and mapping out the story elements with a partner!

Yesterday Clayville had a whole school assembly where they had tons of fun listening to Muriel Johnson from Rhode Island Black Storytellers (RIBS)! Huge thank you to RIBS for providing our students with such an engaging experience.

Clayville students in third grade have been having fun independently silent reading! Great job everyone!

4th and 5th grade Clayville students have been doing a fantastic job spending some time this week reading with a buddy!

Kindergarteners at Clayville are having fun making estimations and measuring classroom items using non standard forms of measurement this week!

1st grade students at Clayville had fun while working on a sight/word and spelling match game last week!

5th-grade students at Clayville have been working hard on their Shark Tank projects!

In December, The Scituate Police Department organized a successful Stuff a Cruiser Event with our elementary schools. Thank you to the Scituate Community for supporting this event which provides toys/games for our Adopt a Family program. It's wonderful to be part of a giving and supportive community!

Clayville, Hope, and North Scituate Elementary schools all enjoyed their school holiday chorus concerts before the winter break! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces!

Clayville's Mrs. Forgue, and her second graders, were incredibly busy before the break! Students practiced their red card words from Heggerty with snow writing! Red card words are not decodable, unlike most English words. Instead, they're words that students need to develop automatic sight word recognition for, which they do by looking at irregular spelling patterns and phoneme-graphing mapping each word. In Mrs. Forgue's class, the focus is on literacy, but students build knowledge quickly with sensory-based activities like shaving cream writing!

Mrs. LaRose and her Fabulous Firsties at Clayville Elementary have been hard at work! They're focusing on learning math addition facts through fun partner games. They're also furthering their animal study by collecting and creating information on their favorite bears!

Scituate elementary students had an enchanting chorus performance at the Hope Tree Lighting a few weeks ago! Their performance was described as making the night wonderful, magical, and memorable!!

Great job to our Clayville students who received positive office referrals in November! Keep up the awesome work!

Our Clayville Elementary students worked hard creating ornaments for this year's Christmas in the Village - Festival of Trees!
